He heard your call and sent me
A Hospice nurse I happen to be
When you were hungry beyond belief
He was there to give you relief
When you were suffering from thirst
He brought you water before you burst
When you were sick and at the point of death
He was there to catch your final breath
My Lord came just in time to ease your pain
And to grant you salvation so you could gain
A place beside Him at the table of Love
In the great beyond up above
Perhaps you did not see Him in robes of white
Because you were momentarily blinded by His light
As I stood by your death bed, on Hallowed ground
I felt His Divine Presence all around
Someday my time will come to meet my Savior
Face to face without this world's barrier
I pray that I will embrace Him and go with ease
Grant me a graceful exit if you please
