Wrapped up in the silence I let all thoughts run free feelings of contentment embrace the inner me I see the snowbirds flutter o'er the mirrored lake mine eyes soak in the artwork just takes my breath away The cool crisp air, refreshing a hush within the breeze white blankets are so pretty glisten, bring me peace Thoughts tiptoe ever lightly 'n waltz in synchrony then leapfrog to the 'morrows what would the future bring? Fresh snow started falling as did some lonely tears happy thoughts grew silent slipped back to yesteryears A bitter chill embraces somehow I lose control emotions topple over frost heaves sting my soul How can I face tomorrow? when I can't get through today how will I see a rainbow? when everything looks gray I long to see the sunrise 'n feel that I'm alive a piece of me is missing ever since you died Something brushed my cheekbone as if a baby's breath I welcomed home your presence in silence of content © Rose Marie Streeter E-mail Website
