The Beauty Before Me

I see the beauty of God's hands,
Across the waters I view,
Graceful swans and lily pads,
Clear waters tinted in blue.

Trees rise from the waters,
In hardiness they grow,
Surrounded by cattails,
In nature's beauty show.

God created the loveliness,
Upon which my eyes feast,
I drink in the splendid wonder,
The Creator has released.

Frogs hop on and off the lily pads,
Like in a game small children play,
Colorful blooms reach to the heavens,
Exude beauty in their display.

Minnows swim close to the shore,
In search of food to eat,
Turtles lay hidden from view,
Small fish are a tasty treat.

The trees are filled with birds,
Numerous varieties you'll see,
From drab lackluster feathers,
To rainbow colors perched in the trees.

God takes care of these, His creatures,
His creation just as you and I,
He gives substance on the ground,
The sun gives warmth through a cloudy sky.

My God created such beauty,
And gave nature such deep thought,
Is it any wonder then,
That by Christ's blood I was bought?

I look across the beautiful scene,
Tears fill my nature loving eyes,
Out of the deepest felt gratitude,
Praise and Hallelujahs arise.
