Summer is here and don't we know it!
After wonderful spring showers
The sun is bright and the grass growing
So now we are mowing.

The refreshing showers
Brought new life to the wilting flowers
And cleaned irritants from the air
So our sniffles are gone
Making it a joy to sit in the porch swing
Swaying gently along.

Summer time is a lot of fun.
People race to the seashore
To sunbathe in the sun
And stroll along the water's edge
Gathering seashells and watch the surf come in
Enjoying the day with a friend.

Such an array of things to do
Of summer fun are waiting for you...

Gather at the park for a ballgame
Or the creek for a swim
After diving from a rope hung from a limb;
Gather for a barbecue
On the patio or in the yard;
Get away from it all
On a vacation to a distance place
Or nearby at a fun park;
Enjoy sitting on the front porch
Watching fireflies glow in the dark.

Take your choice for it isn't really hard
To enjoy the good old summertime.
