~ An Hour With You~
Sitting in the
moonlight,
And listening to the quiet,
Reminds me of an ocean front,
And the sounds that fill the night.
The sounds of the Nightingale,
And the night air so sweet,
As I listen to the night owl,
High up in a tree.
There’s nothing quiet as nice,
As time to relax and dream,
And night time is the perfect time,
For almost all it seems.
The children are tucked in bed,
And all the chores are done.
I feel the world belongs to me,
As though I'm the only one.
I’ll just sit a while,
Until the air seems cool,
Then I'll go inside and rest,
And wake to a sky of blue.
Living life in the country,
Is a life that can't compare,
To anyplace in the world,
Open spaces and good clean air.
