I am Josh and this is my story
I'm writing it to give God glory
My Daddy is a rodeo performer
But he doesn't believe in using spurs

My Daddy was raised on a ranch
He's a cowboy, you can tell by his stance
He's rode horses since he was four
Mama says he's a professional to the core

My love for horses, I got from Daddy
Riding along beside us is my dog Laddie
Daddy spends hours thanking our Lord
Because at our ranch we never get bored

There's always fences to mend
Our animals to feed and tend
My Daddy says he's a Christian
And I want to be just like him

Daddy says the Lord is first in our life
I listen to what Daddy has to say
He is my teacher, in all ways
And I know he'd never let me stray
