When I grow up,
I sure want to be,
Just like my Daddy,
A cowboy is he.
I can throw a lasso,
Round up a stray cow,
Rope a grown up steer,
Daddy taught me how!
I can saddle a horse,
And ride like the wind,
Help Daddy herd cattle,
'Till they're all penned
I wear blue jeans,
And spurs on my boots,
Long sleeve shirts,
But not fancy suits.
A white hat on my head,
A rope in my hand,
I'm just like a cowboy,
My life is all planned.
Just like my Daddy,
One day I will be,
The bestest cowboy,
Yeppers, that's me.
