As I woke up this morning,
From a long restful sleep.
I thought how blessed we are,
For a roof over our head,
and food to eat.

We had thunderstorms last night,
But none of us were harmed.
We slept in peace from danger,
Like a child in a mother’s arms.

It’s so wonderful to feel secure,
To have a peaceful sleep,
Knowing what ever happens,
Your soul the Lord will keep.

No one can take that away,
For God has paid the debt.
The one for sin we could not pay,
It took the Savior’s death.

He shed His blood on Calvary’s cross,
And paid the price for all,
That we might live forever,
When He makes that final call.
