After many years of running to and fro,
I knew that I must change,
My life was so long wasted.
It had brought me only shame.
How many nights I walked the streets,
Hoping to find a way,
To something better than I had,
Maybe find a brand new day.
Then I heard my Savior whisper to me,
Why not come to Me and rest.
I felt the grace of Jesus with me,
And now my life's the best.
No longer do I struggle,
I'm now at peace at last
No more do I lie awake at night,
And think about my past.
I now have been forgiven,
And oh, what joy it is.
Since I met my Jesus,
And know that I am His.
