This world hurts too much
It's easier to stay by myself
My company is my precious Lord
His behavior won't hurt my health

Families break apart and hurt one another
Untruths and unkind words are said
God never meant it to be like this
That's why the Bible should be read

When I am alone, I can meditate
And rely on God for the truth
He, alone, has the answers
That will sooth my aching heart

God's intention for life was love
The kind from heaven above
I can't wait to experience it
I won't miss this world one bit

If this poem sounds bitter and hateful
It isn't meant to be;
I want to be with my Heavenly Father
He's the only one who can set me free
