I
was like a drifter,
Drifting far away,
Not knowing where,
To search for love,
As I drifted on my way.
Then I met this Man,
Called Jesus, who had,
Changed my life around,
No longer am I drifting
Since there's a peace I found.
He offered me salvation,
And an everlasting love,
He offered me a home someday,
In heaven up above.
He said I'll never leave thee,
When the storms, you cannot bare
You may think I am far away,
But no, I am always near.
Just put your trust in Me, my child,
There’s another mile to go,
For I have souls that need Salvation,
And you must tell them so.
Yes I was like a drifter,
Drifting far away,
But now I have my Jesus
And He’s here with me to stay.
