I am a child of God
Regardless of my age.
I was made in His image.
I reflect what is good
God planned for womanhood.

Even as a little child
All sweet and loving and mild
Open and sharing a heart full of love
I was excited to learn all I could
About Jesus, God's Son, who loves me.
I read it in the Bible
And knew it was so.

God watches every step I take
And guards me from any mistake
Which would bring me harm.
He takes me in His arms
And whispers to my heart
To calm my fears
Comforting and wiping away my tears
When I was just a child of tender years
And even when I am old.

I know He loves me as His child
For the Bible tells me so.
God is my provider, my comforter and guide
And my heavenly Father in whom I confide
The desires of my heart
And sins that keep us apart.
He forgives and draws me to His breast
With assurance I am forever His child.

At my journey's end here below,
I will close my eyes and to heaven go.
As I enter the gates of pearl,
My Father will open wide His arms and smile
To welcome home His precious child.
