The invitation is given
Come and sup with me
And I will sup with thee..
Will I accept and go
Dine with my Lord who loves me so?
Time and time I read the words
And my Savior's words are heard
To come and dine,
Come and dine.
Come to the wedding feast
Is the call to me, one of the least.
Come join the celebration
Of Christ and His bride.
Many make excuses not to come
But I am not one of these
For my Lord I wish to please
And feed on the bread of life my soul to ease.
Come and dine I ask my King
Welcome to my heart
Fill it with the bread of life
To nourish my soul this day
With living water to take my thirst away.
I will come and dine
At the Lord's table
Eating the bread in remembrance
His body broken
Sipping the wine in remembrance
His Blood shed
So I will not die but have eternal life instead.
The invitation is given to one and all
Please answer when He comes to call
To come and dine
With the Savior, Divine.
