I watch the sunrise in the morning,
As it brings another day,
It will warm my shoulders,
And brighten up my way.
I listen to the wind,
As it gently stirs the leaves,
Sending out its music,
As it moves among the trees.
I like to hear a gentle rain fall,
Splashing on my window pane,
Happily bringing water,
To the flowers and the grain.
I like to see the snowflakes,
As they fall upon the ground,
Spiraling Oh so gently,
And they never make a sound.
I listen to the gentle stream,
As it rushes on its way,
Always in a hurry,
Never stopping night or day.
The birds come to my feeder,
Oh listen to them sing,
I wonder if these beauties,
Know the joy they bring.
And then a pretty sunset,
Fills the evening sky,
No man can match the colors,
Even if he try.
Gifts that God gives freely,
And I offer up a prayer,
I thank Him with a grateful heart,
Because He puts them there.
