Fall came and quickly passed us by
I see it in the sky
As snowflakes begin to fall
And Winter came to call.

I bundle up in a woolen sweater
And tramped through the Winter weather
Gazing at the splendor with awe
Knowing God created it all.

Walking outside
My breath I cannot hide
Because the chilly air is quite enough
For each breath to send a smoky puff.

The trees all around
Seem to have coats of white ermine
From snowflakes falling down
Stand at attention there
In the cold Winter air.

I lift my eyes
Toward the threatening skies
And turn in retreat
To the warmth of the hearth
Leaving outside the Winter chill
As Winter visits God's good Earth.
