Folks will travel for many a mile,
To visit their kin for awhile,
And see their old familiar smile,
At the family reunion.

There the fellowship is sweet!
The food just can't be beat!
There's always plenty to eat,
At the family reunion!

There is never a very long wait,
And no need to hesitate.
Just fill up your plate,
At the family reunion!

As relatives gather there,
Life's joys and sorrows we can share,
Then we'll dismiss with prayer,
At the family reunion!

I'll admit there is always a fear,
That this time next year,
Someone won't be able to appear,
At the family reunion.

Ah, but in the Bible I read,
That in the coming days ahead,
A marriage supper will be spread,
At the family reunion!

Then, we who have been saved by grace,
Will joyfully take our place,
And greet Jesus face to face,
At the family reunion!
