There are storm clouds in my life
But they will disappear,
And then the sun comes breaking through,
And dries up all my tears.

Without the storm clouds,
There would be no rain,
No harvest would there grow,
No moisture for the grain.

The farmers depend upon the rain,
It's a blessing to see it return.
When Summer is its hottest,
And the fields are sure to burn.

So we must welcome the storm clouds,
And thank our Lord they come.
Whether it be storms for crops,
Or storms we face at home.

Sometimes I fail to see the good,
I need to see in Life,
I guess like most of us,
I feel like I should feel no strife.

I like to hear the thunder,
And watch the raindrops fall.
I like to smell the clean damp Earth,
I like that most of all.

It all brings back those memories,
Of bare feet and mushy water holes.
The memories of the past.
Precious memories I do hold.

But time does take away,
Some things we'd like to keep,
But we have memories of them and,
Dreams when we're asleep.
