Quiet places carved
in my life
Is where I find angels
God sends to watch over me
And a blessing be.
Quiet places in my life
Are where I find inspiration
From good things that spring
Filled with love, a most precious thing.
In the quiet places of my soul
Is where contentment rests
When I reflect on every reached goal
Once dreams which now continually unfold.
In the quiet of time and space
Once again I see your precious face
To me most dear
Wishing you were still here.
As I steal away to a quiet place
I can speak to God and listen
To His whispers to my heart
That He loved me from the very start.
Though I enjoy the energy and quick pace
Of life as I live it from day to day
There are times I slip away
For quiet solitude to listen to inner thoughts.
A quiet place to kneel and pray
At the close of day
Is a blessing sweet
As petitions I raise
Sharing my love to God in songs of praise.
