October you are beautiful
The most colorful month of all
Your pretty leaves come drifting down
How I love to watch them fall
The pumpkins ripe for picking
Their colors Oh so bright
Just right for jack-o-lanterns
To shine in dark of night
Wild geese flying overhead
A full moon bright and clear
Shining through my window
Filling up my night with cheer
The squirrels are gathering acorns
Scurrying here and there
They often have a squabble
All wanting their fair share
God has filled my world with color
I enjoy each glorious day
For all to soon the season ends
And a new one comes our way.
