Listen to the flower's words
What would they now convey,
That tiny seed thus planted
Only there to die away.
Fade away to nourish
Gently form each leaf,
Unfurling little fronds
Foundation underneath.
Gently grows beginnings
So roots are strong below,
Good must be the soil
Later strength to grow.
Deeper still the darkness
To form life deep within,
Life is only borne from death
Of the seed of origin.
Wait, there comes the sunshine
Warmth, refreshing showers,
Day by day the rays of light
Infuse their constant power.
To gently push up every stem
And pop out every leaf,
Watch, the buds are coming
What ever will there be.
Learn, the preparation
In much suspense, we wait,
What now there unfurl
What wonder will unveil.
Then in all completion
The petals soft, unfold,
Resplendent, pure delight,
Uniquely blaze, behold!
The bloom of life portrayed
For all to gladly view,
The time of blooming set
Each day with life renewed.
Then seed pods nestle in
A deeper plan is yet,
This life it shall not die
When comes time to rest.
This life shall be reborn
Continue on for aye,
Oh, Listen to the flowers
And all of God to say..
