Life's boat was rocking,
And my knees were knocking.
Fear gripped my heart.
Troubles and trials,
Had robbed me of my smiles.
My whole world was falling apart.
But, there on my knees,
I whispered, "Please,"
"Lord, come to my rescue."
"I'm just a man."
"I've done all I can."
"I know nothing else to do."
When He heard my cry,
The Lord drew nigh,
And placed His hand,
Upon my troubled brow!
Then, the billows ceased to roll,
In my storm-tossed soul,
As He whispered, "Peace, be still now."
Ah, it meant so much,
Just to feel His loving touch!
Sweet peace enveloped my soul!
There was no reason to frown,
Or even feel "down,"
For Jesus had made me whole!
