Gone forever
out of my sight,
Never to see your smile again,
Never to be held in your arms,
Oh how can my life be the same?
How did this happen suddenly,
We have always been together,
Going here and there just being,
Happy with one another?
Every day tears pour like gentle,
Rain trying to refresh me now,
Yet will I manage without you,
How can this be my husband, how?
I gaze out the window this Cold,
Cold morning, the sun shining,
Beautifully with soothing warmth,
Yet without love's silver lining.
Oh my wonderful husband I
Never ever thought of this day,
Gone forever from me are you,
Leaving my life in disarray.
How lonely I am without your,
Loving touch, looking in your eyes,
Gathering me closer to you,
My husband, even my soul cries.
Just the look in your eyes was my,
Warmth, intense passion, my being,
You filled my heart and soul and you,
Were all love's vision, my seeing.
Now, there's no longer touching nor,
Loving, no needing, no fusion,
Melting together into one,
Just that feeling of confusion.
Being together was my life,
Sharing love's closeness is still strong,
Surely one day I will know what,
To do but only cry and long.
Oh I know realizing now,
Life is but a whispering breath,
Visible for just a short while,
'Til breezing by heartache and death.
