Storm clouds gather,
Billow and begin to rise,
I reach for my Jesus,
Loving and forever wise.

He is the Rock I lean upon,
The Saviour of this sinner's soul,
Never tires of helping me,
I give Him complete control.

He's the Sun in my darkened sky,
Outshining troubles that loom,
He fills my heart with happiness,
Washing away sadness and gloom.

The Perfect Rose of Heaven,
Loves us even when we stray,
Brings us back into the fold,
Hearing us when we pray.

Christ is the Love of my soul,
My future determined by deeds,
Helping my fellow man I must,
Show God's Love in filling his needs.

Jesus leads each step of the way,
I try to walk the proven path,
Staying close to my Saviour's side,
Life's filled with less wrath.

I love You, my Lord and Master,
Forgive me when I fail to show,
Thankfulness for the blessings,
You so generously let flow.

Though storm clouds rise and darken,
The skies around me some days,
God is my Silver Lining,
Forever I'll sing His praise.
