I look outside
and see,
Raindrops falling,
They are in sync with,
My teardrops' calling.
Each tear I cry is,
A yearning plea for you,
Since your leaving,
I am forever blue.
Will this aching ever stop,
Is there never to be peace,
My heart forever broken,
Is there to be no release?
I am caught in a web of hurt,
Spun in a deep abyss,
Am I never to find,
A day of simple bliss?
Will night time ever be,
Just a simple routine,
Going to bed to sleep and,
Dreams are really serene?
Will I awake in the darkness,
Without an impulse to scream,
Can I find a peaceful night,
Where sleep rules supreme?
How can I continue onward,
Without the essence of you,
Will I forever languish in,
A world filled with hurt anew?
Will I find a new day,
That brings about a smile,
Laughter just happens,
Life again seems worthwhile?
In your lovin' arms I belong,
With your presence very close,
Oh my heart wishes and how I long,
To embrace you in sweet repose.
