Lord, let me feel the rain
Cool and fresh upon my face
As it cascades down to refresh the Earth
Reviving the flowers' drooping head
And the drying and wilted leaves
As well as the parched Earth
I see all around.

Fall fresh on me, sweet rain
Washing away all pain
And sweltering heat
That upon my face does beat
So I feel alive again
Because of precious rain
Sent once again.

Let me feel the rain
As it cleanses the Earth before me
So new life I see
As nature once more comes alive
And the parched and dry land
Sends forth a sweet scent
Of precious cleansing and more
So beauty sparkles bright
With new beauty once again
As God doth restore.

Send rain once again, I pray
To chase the heat away
That seems to parch my soul
As the slowly dying leaves
Sigh for a gentle breeze
And I languish in a stupor
Energy sapped from the heat
That doth upon me beat.

Do not chase the rain clouds away
But bring them on even now
So I feel the rain upon my brow
And I will Praise the Lord above
For His precious Love
Sent through the raindrops that fall
Blessing one and all.
