There are friends who could help if they just understood
What Care And Compassion Would Add

There Are Always Some Friends Who Will Give You Advice
But they don’t back it up with their lives

There Are Friends Who Will Want You To Be In Their Group
Because of your spirit and drive
But beware of the troop with a Pharisee hoop

There Are Those Who Let Anger Just Get Out Of Hand
They can throw you right under the bus
They let go of patience and all that’s been planned
And Their IQ’s Descend As They Cuss

But the Faithful are still hard to find
When reality’s needed, you don’t need a show
You Need Friends Who Will Guard Your Behind

There Are Many With Whom You’re Acquainted
But so few who will go to the wall

They Could Never Be Fair Weather Friends

Proverbs 18:24
A man who has friends must himself be friendly,
but there is a friend who sticks closer that a brother.

Loneliness is everywhere - many people feel cut off
and alienated from others. Being in a crowd just makes
people more aware of their isolation. We all need friends
who will stick close, listen, care and offer help when it is needed
in good times and bad. It is better to have one such friend than
dozens of superficial acquaintances. Instead of wishing you
could find a true friend, seek to become one. If you look around,
you’ll find people who need your friendship. Ask God to reveal
them to you, and then take on the challenge of being a true friend.
