Today I feel so lonely,
I only want to cry.
I just can't shake the feeling,
No matter how I try.

The day seems dark and dreary,
Even though the sun shines bright.
I feel a longing in my soul,
There is nothing that seems right.

I need a friend to hold my hand,
But no one do I see.
There is only silence,
The room is empty but for me.

And then I see my Bible,
Resting there beside my chair.
Suddenly I realize,
My answer is in there.

No matter how I'm feeling,
God's Word will comfort me.
He will lift me out of darkness,
And set my spirit free.

Once again I see His sunshine,
And the blue skies up above.
I am no longer lonely,
God has filled me with His Love.
