Jesus came to save us from our
sin,
So that all who would may enter in
He Himself became the Open Door,
To Eternal Life forevermore.
Over two thousand years have come and gone,
Still Salvation's Plan goes on and on,
How marvelous it is to know,
Nothing can deplete Calvary's Flow.
Friend, on that wonderful day on Calvary's Hill,
The Saviour was obedient to His Father's Will,
For, earlier in Gethsemane the cry of God's only
Son,
Had been Father, not My will but Thine be done.
The Blood flowing from His hands, His feet, and
His side,
Became a mighty Cleansing CrimsonTide,
Even yet today there goes forth a call,
Come to the Fountain, Come one and all,
Come without money, The price has been paid,
For, on lonely Golgotha the Sacrifice was made.
Come ye, old and young of age,
You can escape the tempest's rage,
Jesus will your Faithful Pilot be,
O'er Life's rolling, churning sea.
Come to the Ship of Zion and get on board,
Your only Refuge is Christ our Lord,
Ah, soon we'll reach Sweet Heaven's Shore,
Where we shall dwell forevermore.
