Busy, busy, just like a bee,
Never time for "poor ol' me"!
Rush around 'til day is done.
What did we do, what have we won?

Was there time to share a smile?
To make a child feel worthwhile?
Was there a minute we could spare
To close our eyes-lift up a prayer?

So much work, and no play
Makes for a dull and stressful day.
What happened to the coffee break?
To relaxing, have time to give and take?

Work must be done, there is no doubt.
But what is all the rushing about?
Is a spotless house all for show
When we neglect the beauty of falling snow?

Is a perfect lawn all we seek
When the water sings so joyfully in the creek?
Do we have to rush in such a daze
When the stars and moon are perfect to gaze?

The Lord created everything in six days.
He showed a time of rest always pays.
Rich rewards are ours for free
If we slow down, and let busyness be.
