I'm walking in the rain soaking wet while thumbing for a ride 
Been here seems like forever but no headlights yet are in sight
Got my guitar tucked under my coat trying to keep it from getting wet
Pulled my hat down over my face now the rain's going down on my neck

Broken dreams and low on pride
I tried my best but success was denied
