Oh how we use to
walk along,
This beautiful pathway,
Close in love's bonds,
Alone I now walk this way.
I remember the stolen kisses,
'Neath the moon's soft glow,
The laughter during the day,
Complete happiness did flow.
Is that rain falling as I walk or,
Tears that flood my sad eyes,
I try to extend a contented front,
Yet happiness my heart belies.
I close my mind to the world,
Settle into sweet memories,
Joyfulness becomes so real,
Once again it is you and me.
I can feel your arms around me,
Your gentle voice speaks,
You hold me close to you,
Foreverness my soul seeks.
Reality creeps inside my thoughts
My mind resents and screams,
I want to live forevermore,
Inside the comfort of my dreams.
How can I continue onward,
Without my beloved one this day,
I long for you my darling,
Together on our beautiful pathway.
