Acts 16:25,26 KJV And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. Though Paul and Silas were in a Philippian jail, They knew their God could not fail! So, they were singing His praises At the Midnight hour! All at once the jailhouse began to shake, Because God sent a tremendous earthquake, To show forth His Almighty Power! The prisoners were amazed as they could be! In a matter of minutes they were all free! The jailer found them standing outside! But, Paul said, "There's no cause for alarm!" To the jailer he said, "Do thyself no harm!" For he was about to commit suicide. Having observed how Paul and Silas behaved, The jailer cried out, "What must I do to be saved?" "We want to be saved, me and my family too!" Well Paul and Silas might have been a bit surprised. But, they said, "Repent and be baptized," "And you can know the Lord just like we do!" Friend, we may have to wait 'til we get to Glory, To learn the rest of the story. But, I'm quite sure it has a happy end! You see, God loves the Philippian and the Jew, The same as He loves me and you! To each of us He will be a precious Friend! Robert F. Dotson © 2008 E-mail Website
