I woke up this morning,
Seemed like a perfect day,
The sun was shining brightly,
That's why I feel that way.

I have no complaints,
My life is not consumed in hate.
I think of all the joy I've had,
Shared with a kindly mate.

Two children, both girls,
And different as night and day.
One's blonde quiet and sweet,
One's Brunette, both are sweet that way.

One is quiet understanding,
The other speaks her mind.
Whatever is on her heart,
Good or not, but never is unkind.

I guess she got that from me,
Their Dad was patient and sweet,
They learn some of their habits,
From the people that they meet.

We can't say too much about them,
For we they imitate.
We can teach them how to love,
Or we can teach them how to hate.

We should never judge others,
No matter what they do,
For we don't know the circumstances,
No more than they know you.

My heart goes out to those who judge,
For unkindness is a sin.
By loving others and being kind,
Is the way I want my life to end.

Sometimes we feel defeated,
When things don't go our way,
But things will work out for you,
Think positive about your day.

Someday our life will all be over,
Enjoy it while you're here.
Leave a legacy for the world,
Knowing you as a friend so dear.
