We welcome you May, dressed up so fine
And the wonderful blessings you bring
Soft gentle breezes, a blue sky above
You know how to make our hearts sing
The fawns that play in the meadow
The birds sitting in their nest
In the woods we see the Dogwood
Blooming at it's best
Your mornings are cool and refreshing
Afternoons pleasant and bright
Your evenings are soft and gentle
As God's stars fill up the night
You are the most precious month, dear May
A promise for all of new birth
The world comes alive and is happy
Pure joy fills all the Earth
Your time with us is all too short
You will soon be on your way
You are a wonderful gift from God
You bring happiness to our day
And though we know you will soon be gone
We enjoy you while you are here
Knowing that you will bless our lives
Once again next year.
