As I went about my day
A thought came to mind;
You've always been there for me
Someone like you is hard to find;

We have shared lots of times together
Sorrow, laughter, joy and even rough weather
Yet you have been my friend and stood by me.
You have been to me a pillar of Hope,

You have always made me smile; even helped me to cope.
Thanks for your friendship and the times together we shared
When I really needed someone who cared,
The love and kindness you always shared.

It really meant lots to me.
Through all of life’s ups and downs
We will always be friends.
Friendship like ours will never end.

So I just had to let you know that,
I thought of you today
And the love you so freely give.
Thanks for being my friend!
