In the silent space within
Where to contemplate upon my life
And say a prayer of thankfulness
For all the blessings that came my way
That time when God showed
Me a better way to live.

He took me from the dark shadows
Of pity, to reforms beyond my
Wildest dreams, He held my hand
Along the way as I walked so timidly
Revealed to me was that I
Had something in life to give.

Who was that person my former
Self, I do not now know at all,
I cannot believe I have come
This far, that God thought to
Rescue me. I praise my Lord always
Who gave me a reason to live.
