While sitting in the sunshine in early Spring,
I saw this little man walking down the road.
He was carrying a back pack,
It seemed to be a heavy load.
Maybe lost or just lonely,
I never got his name.
I asked him where he was going.
He said all places are the same.
He said he just goes where ever he wants,
He had no family or home.
But I believe we're all in need of some place,
To call our very own.
This world can be a lonely place
It's just too big to wander all alone,
There should be a place for laughter,
Someplace to call your home.
I guess some people just can't admit,
We all need friends to talk to,
Someone to share adventures with,
And let them share with you.
It must be an empty feeling,
To be all alone from day to day,
No aim in life or friends for comfort,
It need not be that way.
We always have a Friend in Jesus,
He's everywhere we go,
He will walk along beside you,
For your loneliness He does know.
He wants to be your friend,
And give you a home with Him,
And if you give your heart to Jesus,
He will be there to the end.
