When you look into a mirror,
What do you see?
A vision of a lovely young girl,
Or what the years have reflected you to be?

The reflection you see in the mirror,
May not be what it used to be.
But that reflection of you,
Might not be what others see.

Looks are deceiving to many,
For they may see the outward part.
There may be a few grey hairs or wrinkles,
But that doesn't change the heart.

I think sometime about my high school days,
Wearing Poodle skirts and saddle oxford shoes.
Can can petticoats stiffly starched,
Those were teen age rules.

Time changes everything,
And as the time goes by,
I find myself more content to be my age,
More time for self to enjoy my life.

You may think," I don't want to grow old,"
But you will find in years of passing,
Your interest will change too,
You learn that life becomes less taxing.

I try to live a Christian life,
And try to worry less,
Be kind to others and love them
I've tried to do my best,

I'll never be that same reflection,
I saw into that mirror that day,
But I'll be working on enjoying what I have,
and leave this world that way.
