Lord, touch my eyes that I might see,
Hidden faults inside of me!
With Thy light of love Divine,
Enter into this heart of mine!

Be Thou Lord of every room!
Dispel all worry, sadness, and gloom!
Oh, let my heart delight in Thy laws,
And mine ever be a righteous cause!

Take my self will and foolish pride!
Let only humility within abide!
Like my Saviour let me be meek!
May I always "turn the other cheek!

Words of wisdom let me find,
Before I ever "speak my mind!"
Help me Lord, not to complain and grumble!
Give me a Spirit that's always humble!

Teach me to accept things I cannot change!
When I am tried let it not seem strange!
For, when trials come by my way,
I'll just fall down on my knees and pray!

Lord, help me to be willing to intercede,
For any soul who has a need!
May I never prejudge or "cast a stone,"
For Lord, you know I have faults of my own!

Let the way I act and the words I say,
Lift up your Holy name each day!
Then when my life's work is done,
I'll hear you say, "Welcome home, My son!"
