Come join me on the garden path
To ponder flowers that I tend,
Smiling gently, angel faces
sweetly,
Reminding me of friends.

Some blossom in delight of Spring
And some in Wintry days of Fall,
Others glow in Summer heat
special,
With their own unique rapport.

The vibrant colors of Nasturtium
Profuse in Summer show,
Proclaim my world a garden,
The life
Of every heart I know.

Tucked in amongst the greenery
Is Pelargonium, soft pink,
Displaying throat of sweetest velvet
a friend
Engraving heart imprint.

The Gladioli burgeoning beauty
Generous blooms upon each side,
Calls to me of friends
who reach
With loving arms extended wide.

In little terracotta pots
Grow Pansies, pretty, cute,
Always loyal, friendly
warm and open,
Hearts of love they suit.

Snapdragons snap, to make me laugh,
Sweet pea, Lilies, Tulips bright
God's blessing, all I need
His comfort
My delight.

The Morning Glory each sunrise
Greets me with beloved smile
Entwining deep into my heart
forever close
Through every heartache, trial.

I treasure Rose's speciality
Rich velvet touch to know,
Pungent fragrance
emanating,
From thorns that make it grow.

White Daisy, seeming common
Wholesome, pure and fair,
Yet, enhance a bouquet's color,
palette
By perfection that they share.

But the sentiment of calming peace
Found in Peony soft and fine,
Delicate, enfolding
holds the tenderness I need
For this gentle heart of mine.
