My little daughter was sitting by the window,
Watching snow flakes falling to the ground.
Curiously she asked the question,
Do you think snowflakes are square or are they round?

My answer was as I had always heard,
There are no two snow flakes alike.
Are snow flakes always fluffy like this,
And why are they always white?

I found out real quick I needed more knowledge,
To deal with a girl like this.
I wanted to answer her questions,
And not send her off amiss.

Let's ask God some day.
Why He made them this way.
So all I could say was He made the Earth,
And made it all in just 6 days.

Satisfied with the answer I thought.....
Why didn't He tell us why?
My patience getting rather thin,
I made a great big sigh.

She's just a child you know,
And I need to give her answers.
So I got my Bible out and read,
First the birth and then the resurrection.

How God created the Earth,
And made all things to be,
Adam made from the dust of the Earth,
And from Adams rib created Eve.

Question after question came,
And we spent the day in school,
And how all things came to be,
The Bible was the perfect tool.
