Back in the days of
way back before time came to be,
The darkness penetrated the deep
far beyond forever,
imagine the nothing to see.
The Creator pondered this emptiness,
then with a mighty creative hand,
One sweep across the cosmos,
the universe exploded
and earth became a great spinning land.
The darkness was not of His being,
so from His soul issued the light,
Evening delight...morning so bright
He chose to separate
day, from the darkness of night.
Clouds swirled up to the heavens,
waves hurtled to seas down below,
The expanse of sky was adorned
all power and glory,
swirling winds there to blow.
God's design unfolding for His world,
as dry land arose from the depths,
Like a mighty explosive volcano
earth was born,
His third creative step.
Ah, such inspiration He had in store,
wonderment...and all made for our pleasure,
Intricacies of plants and trees
delicate of hue
to delight us beyond measure.
This verdancy craved warm sunshine,
so God blazed sun to dominate the sky,
Then settled the glowing moon in place
how I wonder what you are-
myriad the stars, to make us sigh...
But alas His mighty ocean swirled devoid of life,
ah, then what wonder He detailed diverse,
From delicate sea horses to whales
with immense maneuver,
His wild imagination burst.
Oh, I'm glad He filled the heavens
with the swooping of the wing,
From them we delight in flight
lift beyond sight,
soaring on the wind.
The last day, treasure to unfold
as He opened wide His visionary heart,
Spreading the amazing animal kingdom
diverse in majesty
from the smallest fly to grand giraffe.
a greater miracle is in store,
His image now revealed... within this plan,
To have dominion over the earth
a beautiful woman
from His magnificent man,
To share in all His eternal glory
for that begins another story.

Poetry from the Heart
Psalm 104:1-5 (KJV)
Bless the LORD, O my soul.
O LORD my God, thou art very great;
thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment:
who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters:
who maketh the clouds his chariot:
who walketh upon the wings of the wind:
Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:
Who laid the foundations of the earth,
that it should not be removed for ever.
