If I knew then what I know now,
Would my life be changed around,
Could I have made my dreams come true,
And aimed for higher ground?

What difference could I make in life,
What would my ambitions be,
Would my life be somehow better,
Would I be a different me?

Sometimes my mind goes wandering back,
To the days of long ago,
Would it have made a difference to me,
If somehow I was told?

That there was much more in life,
If I had set my goals,
And conquered all the dreams I had,
But now I will never know.

If I knew then what I know now,
I would make my dreams come true,
And change some things I did in life,
And make it all brand new.

I cannot go back to my yesteryears,
I must keep pushing on,
And forget the things I cannot change,
And forget where I went wrong.

Yesterday is gone now forever,
Never to return anymore,
Maybe someday I will conquer,
The dreams I had before.
