Just beyond the Jordan
river,
Lies a land of joy and peace,
Where the angels cry “Holy, Holy,”
And their praises never cease!
‘Tis the land to which I’m going,
When my feeble life is o’er!
There I’ll join that great homecoming,
On the everlasting shore!
First of all, I want to see Jesus!
Oh, what a Hallelujah time!
It will be worth every mile I’ve traveled,
And each mountain I had to climb!
There will be no disappointment,
And no tears there shall be shed!
We’ll have no sad partings,
And no goodbyes will ever be said!
There will be no misunderstandings,
And no sleepless nights again!
There will be no worrying and inquiring,
“Are all the children in?”
No unkind words shall ever be spoken!
We will be in one accord!
And the theme of that City,
Will be “Holiness unto the Lord!”
