An Hour With You~*~Goodbye Is Not Our Word~*~

It wasn't you, they took away
In roses pink and white,
Without your smile and twinkly eye
To never see the light.

It wasn't you, your heart's alive
It never skipped a beat,
It wasn't you, for all you are
Is all the more complete.

It wasn't you, that said goodbye
Farewell is not our word,
But, see you soon, it won't be long
Until in life we merge.

It wasn't you, you cannot die
For you, are yet alive,
I heard you whisper, wait-
I'll see you, do not cry.

It wasn't you, but me that cried
For dreams I couldn't see,
When you are more than overjoyed
In life eternally.

It wasn't you, but, hope in me
That fell within the grass,
To struggle for the comfort
That you are safe at last.

It wasn't you, but me that held
Onto your every breath,
But, when I watched you fly away
I knew it wasn't death.

It wasn't you, they swept away
For you, are where it's real,
It isn't you bereft, nor grieved
But I, who waits new birth.

It wasn't you that lay there still
But I, that couldn't move,
When you're already flying free
In all that's beautiful.

It always was, and ever is
His perfect love in you

~ Revelation 21:4 ~
He will wipe every tear from their eyes.
There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain,
for the old order of things has passed away.
