What do you see when you look in your past
Are the memories happy or sad
Do you have regrets for things that you did
Or do they make your heart glad

If the memories hurt, put them aside
Do not dwell on what can't be undone
Remember your blessings
And count them, every single one

Thank God for your wonderful family
Each friend that stands by your side
Live for today, and be happy
Greet each morning with arms open wide

The past will always be with you
The future is not yours to know
God walks beside you, He will help you
He knows the way you should go

Live each day to the fullest
Be peaceful and happy of heart
For He will never leave you
He will put a song in your heart
