When I look into the
western sky
I see a bright and shining star
Beckoning me to gaze heavenward
And think of the light beaming afar
Yet not so far that I cannot see
Its brilliance like a diamond shining bright
To guide me through the darkening night.
I wish upon the star that I see
With hope that what I wish will come to be
And am comforted by the constancy
Of the star always being there
Reminding me God cares about every detail
Of creation and carried out his plan
For the heavenly bodies
And even more for lowly man.
As I watch the cycle of night and day
Continuing to perform according to God's strategy
I am convinced only an awesome God could plan the way
So all creation is synchronized to ebb and flow
Like the tides of the sea
And realize surely He knows what is best for me.
