Country love is like a song
gone wrong, Like a story in a book, Like
the sun won't shine for a long time, Like
rain sparkles in a brook.
You gave me diamonds,
rubies and pearls, Flooding my heart in pure
love, Gentle and fine that can't be turned
off, Like a faucet wells above.
It's said love will never
ever leave, It won't ever leave a
heart, That the eyes of a soul tell it
all, In ways that will never part.
You are loved as much as
before and, In my dreams you'll always
be, That wonderful touch of love I
want, To have and keep close to me.
How my heart aches for
love's splendor my, Life right now hurts
without you, Won't ever be the same I miss
you, Miss the feel of that love true.
Love's mystery I can't
understand, You don't want me
anymore, That love with me now is not your
thing, That's why you walked out the
door.
Tears fall since my
heart's in misery, Someday I'll get over
you, Yet in a way you belong to me, Still
waters run deep and blue.
Why does love have to die
a slow death, I can't turn off that faucet
you took, What was rightfully mine walked
away, Now it's time you took a look.
Country love is like a
song gone wrong, Like a story in a
book, Like the sun won't shine for a long
time, Like rain sparkles in a
brook.
