Why do bad things happen to good people?
Have you ever asked this question?
Maybe it’s to teach us to have faith,
Maybe it’s to teach us a lesson.

Maybe we could ask,
Why do good things happen to bad people?
Maybe we might try to find the answers,
Inside the church doors under the steeple.

But there is an answer to this question, Matthew 5:45,
for He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good,
and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust,
He does as He should.

Why be concerned about such things?
It's not for us to know.
God can handle that by Himself,
So forget it and let go.

Someday we'll have the answers,
But we should be content,
To let our Savior do His will,
And accept the blessings that are sent.

A beautiful sunrise in the morning,
A cool breeze blowing on our face.
Is more than we should ask for,
But He gives us saving grace.

The more I think about His sacrifice,
The more I love Him still.
That He should love us Oh so much,
That He died upon that hill.

His grace is all sufficient,
To cover all my sin,
So when I enter into heaven,
I'll surely be welcomed in.
