Leaves of yellow, red
and brown,
Chipmunks and squirrels scampering 'round,
Wild geese flying in their special "V ",
The colorful Mums, so pretty to see.
Scarecrows in cornfields, pumpkins so bright,
Sunshine and blue skies, clouds puffy white,
The trees are all dressed in colors so bright,
These warm mellow days are such a delight.
We watch the leaves as they fall to the ground,
Then rake them up in heaps that are round,
Darkness comes early, the moon shines on high,
Stars seem much brighter in the dark of the sky.
Oh beautiful Autumn, a gift from above,
Designed by God, created with love.
